SheRecs Community Guidelines

SheRecs is designed to help users share and discover trusted recommendations for service providers within curated, relationship-based networks. These Community Guidelines are intended to promote a respectful, safe, and trustworthy environment and to help ensure that the platform remains useful, credible, and secure for all users.

These Community Guidelines are incorporated into, and form part of, the SheRecs Terms of Service. They apply to all activity on or through the Services, including without limitation user profiles, recommendations, ratings, reviews, notes, comments, direct messages, invitations, community features, and any other user-generated content or interactions made available through the platform.

Because SheRecs is built on trust, users are expected to engage honestly, respectfully, and responsibly. Conduct that undermines the safety of other users, the accuracy or reliability of recommendations, the rights of third parties, or the integrity of the platform is prohibited.

We may investigate potential violations of these Guidelines based on user reports, internal review, third-party notices, or other information lawfully available to us. Where we determine that a violation has occurred, we may take such action as we deem appropriate under the circumstances, including issuing warnings, removing content, limiting account functionality, suspending or terminating accounts, restricting access to features, or referring matters to law enforcement or other authorities where appropriate. In assessing violations, we may consider the severity of the conduct, patterns of misuse, attempts to evade enforcement, and, where relevant, related off-platform conduct that poses a risk to users or to the platform.

SheRecs reserves the right, in its sole discretion and as permitted or required by applicable law, to disclose information to law enforcement, regulators, courts, child safety organizations, or other appropriate authorities where we believe such disclosure is necessary or appropriate in connection with suspected unlawful activity, threats to safety, exploitation, fraud, abuse, or other conduct that may create legal or real-world harm.

If you become aware of content or conduct that appears to violate these Guidelines, please report it to us through the reporting tools available on the platform or by contacting support at support@sherecs.com.

Respect Other Users and Third Parties

Harassment, Abuse, and Threats. You may not use SheRecs to harass, intimidate, threaten, bully, stalk, or abuse any individual or group. This includes repeated unwanted contact, sexual harassment, discriminatory abuse, coercive behavior, encouragement of pile-ons, and any conduct designed to humiliate, isolate, or distress another person.

Hate Speech and Hateful Conduct. You may not post or share content that attacks, degrades, dehumanizes, or promotes hatred or violence against any person or group based on protected characteristics, including race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or similar protected status. Hate symbols, slurs, and content glorifying or endorsing discrimination or exclusion are prohibited.

Doxxing and Unauthorized Disclosure of Personal Information. You may not disclose, solicit, threaten to disclose, or otherwise misuse another person’s personal information without authorization. This includes home addresses, private phone numbers, personal email addresses, government identification numbers, financial information, or any other information that could reasonably be used to identify, locate, or harm an individual.

Non-Consensual Intimate or Exploitative Content. You may not use the Services to post, share, solicit, or threaten to share intimate, sexually explicit, or sexually suggestive content of any person. Any non-consensual, exploitative, altered, synthetic, or otherwise manipulated intimate content is strictly prohibited.

Violent, Graphic, or Abusive Content. You may not post or transmit content that depicts or promotes gratuitous violence, gore, cruelty, or abuse, particularly where such content is intended to shock, disturb, threaten, or harass others.

Self-Harm and Dangerous Conduct. You may not use SheRecs to promote, glorify, encourage, or normalize suicide, self-harm, eating disorders, or other conduct that presents a serious risk of physical harm. Content that encourages others to engage in dangerous or self-destructive behavior is prohibited.

Protect the Integrity of Recommendations and Community Content

Honest and Authentic Recommendations. Recommendations, ratings, reviews, comments, and related content must be honest, based on genuine experience or a good-faith basis for the recommendation, and must not be knowingly false, misleading, manipulated, or deceptive. You may not submit fabricated recommendations, coordinate inauthentic endorsements, or otherwise attempt to distort the reliability of content on the platform.

Misleading or False Information. You may not post false or misleading information about a service provider, user, business, or other third party where such content could reasonably harm another person, mislead users, or undermine trust in the platform. This includes false accusations, materially misleading descriptions, impersonation, or manipulated information presented as genuine.

Respectful Treatment of Service Providers. Because SheRecs enables users to recommend service providers, users must act responsibly when posting information about third parties. You may not use the platform to defame, target, threaten, extort, or unfairly disparage any service provider or individual. You are responsible for ensuring that any information you share about a provider is accurate to the best of your knowledge, appropriate for inclusion on the platform, and not posted for an improper purpose.

No Abuse of Contact or Messaging Features. You may not use recommendations, message requests, or contact-related functionality to pressure, harass, spam, or improperly solicit service providers or other users. Any outreach through the platform must be respectful, lawful, and consistent with the intended functionality of the Services.

Community Features and Interactive Content. Responses submitted in connection with community prompts, games, or interactive features must comply with these Guidelines. You may not use such features to post abusive, offensive, fraudulent, sexually explicit, unlawful, or otherwise inappropriate content.

Eligibility and Safety

Adults Only. SheRecs is intended solely for individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age. Individuals under the age of 18 may not create accounts, use the platform, or be submitted as service providers through the Services or recommendation.

No Sexual Exploitation or Child Endangerment. You may not use SheRecs to create, share, solicit, promote, or facilitate child sexual abuse material, grooming, sexual exploitation, or any conduct involving minors that jeopardizes their safety or wellbeing. We may report apparent child sexual abuse material or exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children or other appropriate authorities, as applicable.

No Facilitation of Unsafe or Unlawful Conduct. You may not use the platform to facilitate conduct that endangers the physical safety, dignity, or wellbeing of another person, including trafficking, coercion, sexual exploitation, or other abusive or unlawful activity.

Respect the Platform and Use It Authentically

No Spam or Unsolicited Mass Activity. You may not use SheRecs to send spam, repetitive unsolicited messages, mass invitations, or other unwanted communications. You also may not use automation or coordinated behavior to artificially expand reach, generate engagement, or overwhelm users or platform systems.

No Fraudulent, Deceptive, or Inauthentic Activity. You may not use SheRecs in a deceptive or inauthentic manner. Prohibited conduct includes creating fake profiles, impersonating another person or organization, misrepresenting your identity or affiliation, artificially inflating engagement, coordinating sham interactions, or otherwise manipulating the platform or other users.

No Circumvention of Enforcement. You may not evade suspensions, bans, restrictions, or other enforcement actions imposed by SheRecs. This includes creating or using alternate accounts, using another person’s account, or engaging in other conduct designed to bypass platform restrictions.

No Unauthorized Access or Interference. You may not access or attempt to access SheRecs systems, data, or accounts without authorization. You also may not interfere with or disrupt the operation of the platform, including through phishing, credential theft, malware, malicious automation, denial-of-service activity, scraping in violation of our Terms, or other harmful technical conduct.

No Abuse of Reporting or Support Channels. You may not submit false, misleading, abusive, or bad-faith reports, support requests, or complaints. Reports and requests must be made honestly and not for retaliatory, manipulative, or harassing purposes.

Fraud, Commercial Abuse, and Other Prohibited Conduct

Fraud and Scams. You may not use SheRecs to promote, coordinate, or engage in scams, fraud, deceptive business practices, or other schemes designed to obtain money, services, data, or other benefits through misrepresentation or dishonesty.

Improper Commercial Conduct. You may not use the platform to advertise, market, sell, or facilitate transactions in a manner that is unauthorized by SheRecs or inconsistent with the intended use of the Services. This includes using SheRecs primarily as a lead-generation or solicitation tool without authorization or engaging in commercial conduct that misleads users or exploits the trust-based nature of the platform.

Sale or Transfer of Accounts. You may not buy, sell, lease, transfer, or otherwise trade accounts, account access, usernames, or other account-related rights without SheRecs’ prior written consent.

Intellectual Property and Rights of Others

You may not post, upload, or share content that infringes or misappropriates another person’s intellectual property rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, contractual rights, or other proprietary or personal rights. You must have the necessary rights and permissions to submit content to the Services, including profile photos, business information, commentary, and any other material you make available through the platform.

Regulated, Dangerous, and Illegal Activity

You may not use SheRecs to organize, promote, facilitate, or engage in unlawful activity. This includes, without limitation, the sale or facilitation of regulated or dangerous goods, illegal gambling, financial crimes, money laundering, counterfeiting, human trafficking, sexual solicitation, or other conduct prohibited by applicable law. You also may not use the platform to promote instructions, tools, or services intended to facilitate illegal conduct, fraud, or real-world harm.

Privacy, Accuracy, and Platform Trust

Because SheRecs is built around recommendations involving real people and service providers, users must exercise particular care when submitting content. You may not post information that you do not have the right to share, and you may not use the platform as a vehicle for retaliation, extortion, reputational harm, or disclosure of sensitive personal information. We expect users to act in good faith and to contribute to the platform in a manner that supports trust, relevance, and reliability.

Enforcement

Violations of these Guidelines may result in one or more enforcement actions, depending on the nature, severity, frequency, and context of the conduct at issue. Such actions may include content removal, warning notices, reduced visibility, suspension of messaging or community features, temporary account restriction, permanent account termination, and/or referral to law enforcement or other authorities.

We reserve the right to remove content or restrict activity that, in our judgment, violates either the letter or the spirit of these Guidelines, the Terms of Service, or other SheRecs policies, including where necessary to protect users, service providers, third parties, or the integrity of the platform.

Reporting Concerns

If you believe that content or conduct on SheRecs violates these Guidelines, the Terms of Service, or applicable law, please report the issue through the platform or contact support at support@sherecs.com. Please do not engage in vigilantism, retaliation, or public call-outs in lieu of reporting; such conduct can escalate harm, interfere with investigations, and itself violate these Guidelines.

Updates to These Guidelines

We may revise these Community Guidelines from time to time to reflect changes in the Services, user behavior, operational needs, legal requirements, or emerging risks. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Guidelines to the extent permitted by law.

Our Shared Responsibility

SheRecs exists to make trusted recommendations easier to share and easier to discover. Every user contributes to the quality and credibility of that experience. By using the platform thoughtfully, honestly, and respectfully, you help preserve the trust on which the SheRecs community depends.
